Following the XR 604 Nationals at All-Tech Raceway in Lake City, FL, held from December 11-14, 2024, an extensive post-race technical inspection has been completed. The inspection process included a comprehensive teardown of the first and second-place vehicles at Race City Performance in Mooresville, NC, on December 16, 2024, with team representatives in attendance. Additional scrutiny involved sending MSD boxes to manufacturers for inspection and testing 55 tire samples across multiple specialized laboratories. The total cost of the inspection, including travel and shipping expenses, exceeded $13,000.
Randy Weaver (#17) of Crossville, TN, has been officially declared the $100,000 winner of the XR 604 Nationals event.
Meanwhile, XR Events officials have issued a suspension and fines to driver Jason Garver (#74) of Starke, FL, after he failed three tire tests (a total of nine samples analyzed across multiple labs). The tests were conducted on samples collected following the B-Main and Feature events on December 14, 2024. Independent laboratory analyses confirmed the presence of chemical substances that did not match the benchmark standards provided by Hoosier Tire Company. Duplicate samples validated the findings of the initial tests.
As a result of the violation, Garver has been disqualified from the event, forfeiting all prize winnings. He has been fined $2,000 by XR Events and is suspended from all XR Events for 365 days, in accordance with the organization’s Tire Sample & Lab Testing Process. Additionally, All-Tech Raceway has imposed a $4,000 fine and a separate 365-day suspension from the speedway, marking Garver’s second violation of track rules.
